Moin Blog

It's morining and my cell phone alarm woke me up at 8:30. I just rushed to the Hotel's window to see the Sun since I know it rises first in Japan among the other countries; Maybe it's my imagination but the Sun Shine looked bit more shinny than my country. Ha. Ha Ha -- It's funny.

Well I started towards the Motherhouse Office with Shimizu San and in my mind I was excited to see my Japanese coleagues. Also I was excited to Japan in the day light. Everything looked so clean and fresh and again systematic. We took the subway line and reached the Motherhouse Office at around 11:00 am. Here I met most my Japanese colleagues, so far I have seen them in pictures and meeting in reality was indeed a grt experience for me. I found everyone so humble and polite and welcomed me in a very cordail way. I felt like I am back to my family.

We had a corporate meeting with all our shop managers and other staffs, we exchanged our business ideas, information future vision and objectives. I discussed about the Bangladesh operation in more detail. I found all my colleagues had many questions about the BD operation; and I felt relly previlledged to answer the question and they showed really interested to know about the BD production site and how we procure the raw materials to make the final products. Also I listened to comments and suggestions from my colleagues about quality and future business potentials of our BD operation. One question from my Japanese colleague was -
" At present Japan is one of the most developed country of the world and they are the leader in technology among the world, so many Japanes young generation feel that their Job is no more interesting as everything is more and more technology based and very systemtic with very little challenge. So Sako San asked my what is my Idea for the Young Generation of Japanese people to make their Work Life more interesting and Challenging".
I thought a little while and found the answer in just one line - Go Beyond the Border of Japan. My message to the Younger Generation of Japan - please start "Think Out of the Box"; now a days the world is saying Global Village, consider the world as yours and it's ur responsibility to develop the whole world at the same level. There are many countries of the world who are still considered as under developed or least developed - You have plenty of opportunity to work and show ur potential in those countries; One big advantage the Japanese people have is they don't have any problem to visit countries and explore new opportunities. If u can see the world as yours then you will find new challenges to overcome and be successful. In my future write up I will share the story of a Japanes person who truely find his challenging life in Bangladesh and looking at him I am sure that someday he will definately become successful and famous in both Bangladesh and Japan for his wonderful efforts and contribution towards the development of Bangladesh.

Well, our meeting ends and thanks to all the Japanese staffs for the discussion and idea sharing. And now I was proposed to visit one of our Shops at Shinjuku - this was what I was really thinking in mind to see the our products in the shop display.
So we started for the shop and I was accompanied by Yamawaki San (she was a very new staff of Motherhouse and just joined on the day).

A great opportunity, I could see the trees, streets, people of Japan - everyone busy and systematic. I wish I could visit Japan in the Spring season, as I found even in winter the nature looked so beautiful and I couldn't imagine how beautiful it will look in the Spring!

We reached the Shinjuku shop and I lost my words to see the products displayed in the shop. To our products were looking spledid. Being in Bangladesh when we produced the goods they never looked so beautiful; but in the shops it felt like all the products were glowing and emitting their own beauti. Indeed I catching. I felt really proud that these goods were produced in my operation. I was met our customers at the shop and while talking to them I was thinking I should learn Japanese language immediately so that we can share our ideas, views and emotions in a better way - Thanks to all our valuable customers and I would like to convey my respect to gratitude to all of them for talking to me and giving your valuable time for me.
